Bulldogs take two from Lions; fall twice to Rangers

SENATOBIA --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell to 15-15 overall and 6-8 in the North Division here Saturday after falling to Northwest Mississippi Community College, 6-2 and 4-0. The Bulldogs defeated East Mississippi, 12-1 and 10-2 on Friday.

In the first game Saturday, Tyji Hawkins suffered the loss for the Bulldogs and pitched the entire game. . Jocobby Robinson led the Bulldogs with two hits while Trennis Grant, Rafiel Johnson and Jordan Taylor each had one hit.

In game two Saturday, Johnson suffered the loss and pitched the entire game. Denzel Goolsby led the Bulldogs with two hits while Grant, Robinson, Johnson and Taylor each had one hit. Grant, Johnson and Goolsby had doubles.

On Friday versus East Mississippi in game one, Steven Blanchard picked up the win. Hawkins led the Bulldogs with three singles while Darius Knight had a single and a triple, Grant had a single and a double while Robinson had two singles. Johnson, Blanchard, Goolsby and Danny Alford each doubled.

In the second game, Chris Hutchinson picked up the win. Grant led with two singles and a double while Robinson and Goolsby each had two singles while Blanchard doubled and Johnson and Alford singled.
