Bulldogs go 2-2 in two doubleheaders at Wallace-Selma
The Holmes Community College Bulldogs opened up the 2013 season going 2-2 at Wallace Community College-Selma, Ala.

In game one, Steven Blanchard (1-0) picked up his first win of the year with a complete game. Blanchard gave up two runs (one earned) on three hits while striking out seven. Offensively, the Bulldogs had eight hits in the ballgame. Tal Tucker and David McAdory led the Bulldogs with two hits a piece. Steven Blanchard, Jordan Taylor, Jaylan Bledsoe, and Remarcus Stalling each added one hit a piece.

In game two, Wallace-Selma pushed across the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Remarcus Stalling (0-1) picked up the loss in relief. Stalling pitched 2 1/3 innings giving up one unearned run on one hit and striking out one. Brennan Marque started for the Bulldogs and pitched four innings giving up zero runs on one hit and striking out seven. Offensively, the Bulldogs were limited to four hits in the ballgame. David McAdory led the offense with two hits. Payden Lynch and Dylan Hodges each added one hit a piece.

In game three, the Bulldogs exploded for 11 runs on 12 hits. Josh Crowder led the Bulldogs offensively with four hits. David McAdory added three hits. Tal Tucker, Jordan Taylor, Payden Lynch, Jaylan Bledsoe, and Remarcus Stalling each added one hit a piece. Lynch hit his first career homerun for the Bulldogs. Lynch (1-0) also picked up his first career win on the mound. Lynch pitched 3 1/3 innings giving up three runs (zero earned) on four hits and striking out three. Trey Goff notched his first save of the season. Goff pitched two innings giving up zero runs and striking out two.

In game four, six Bulldog relievers blew a four run lead and a one run lead as Wallace-Selma took the finale. Brister Dupont (0-1) took the loss in relief. J.R. Hall pitched well in his first career start. Hall pitched four innings allowing one run (zero earned) on one hit and striking out three. Offensively the Bulldogs had nine hits in the ballgame. Steven Blanchard and Cole McBride led the Bulldogs with two hits a piece. Tal Tucker, Josh Crowder, Remarcus Stalling, Jared Shelton, and LaDerik Williams each added one hit a piece.
The Bulldogs travel to Arkansas on Feb. 21 to play Harding University JV in a doubleheader and Central Baptist on Feb. 22 in a doubleheader.
