Bulldogs take two from Spring Hill; fall to Bossier, La. and Hinds
JACKSON --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell to 11-12 on the season here Tuesday after falling to Bossier, La., 2-0, and Hinds, 9-1. Holmes defeated Spring Hill on Monday, 7-5 and 14-7, in Mobile, Ala.
In the first game Tuesday versus Bossier, J.R. Hall suffered the loss. Hall pitched the entire game gave up eight hits, two runs and struck out two. Josh Crowder, Chris Steverson, Remarcus Stalling and Jaylan Bledsoe each had a hit.
Versus Hinds, Brennan Marque took the loss pitching 4 1/3 innings giving up eight runs on eight hits striking out five. Steven Blanchard led the Bulldogs with two hits including a triple while Cole McBride, Jared Shelton and Payden Lynch each had a hit.
In game one versus Spring Hill, Carl Brice picked up his first win of the season. He gave up one run on one hit. LaDerick Williams, McBride, Jalen Nelson, Jason Hursey, Dylan Hodges, Trey Goff and Lynch each had a hit with Williams' hit being a double.
In game two versus Spring Hill, Stalling picked up his first win of the season pitching 3 2/3 innings giving up one run on one hit striking out three. Blanchard, Bledsoe and Goff each had three hits with each of them having one double. Williams and McBride each had two hits with McBride having a triple. Lynch added a double.
