GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs put up 20 runs on 19 hits here Wednesday against the Coahoma Community College Tigers winning game one, 11-0 and game two, 9-2.
With the wins, the Bulldogs moved to .500 in MACJC Conference play and 17-13 overall. Holmes hosts Meridian on Saturday at 1 p.m. The games can be watched live at www.holmesccmedia.com.
In game one, Cole Feazell improved to 6-1 on the season. He went six innings and gave up one runs and six hits with two strikeouts. Kris Brown threw the last inning and gave up no runs. Geoffery King, Chad McNeil and Lucas Kirkland each had two hits with McNeil adding a three-run homerun and King adding a double. Kevin Barber had a triple.
In game two, Derrick Sylve started the game and went 6 1/3 innings and gave up two runs on six hits with seven strikeouts and four walks. Cody Greer finished the game going 2/3 of an inning. He gave up one hit. Tyler Hines led the Bulldogs with two hits while Kevin Barber added a double.
