GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games with Copiah-Lincoln on Monday in Goodman. Holmes won game one, 7-0, and fell in game two, 8-2.
With the split, the Bulldogs went to 18-18 overall and 9-13 in the MACJC. Holmes is at Itawamba today and then travels to Pearl River on Saturday at 1/3 p.m. and then travels to Northwest on Monday at 2/5 p.m.
In game one, Kris Brown went nine innings and gave up four hits and no runs. He struck out four and walked one. Maverick Keffer, Kevin Barber, Jarvis Griffith, Terrell Hodges, Chad McNeil and Carr McMorris each had two hits. Keffer had a two-run homer and McNeil added a double.
In game two, Cole Feazell suffered the loss. Feazell went 6 1/3 innings and gave up seven runs on nine hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Cody Greer and Rob Felton also pitched in the game. Geoffery King, Tyler Hines and Hodges each had two hits.
