Keffer heads to Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Texas

Holmes Community College infielder/DH Maverick Keffer has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball for Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas in the fall.

Southwestern Assemblies of God University is a private, Christian university located 30 minutes south of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The Lions are a NAIA school.

Keffer, a 6'2 230-pound sophomore from Olive Branch, batted .352 for the Holmes Bulldogs last season. He was 32-of-91with six doubles, one triple and three homeruns with 22 RBI. He led the team in hit by pitches with 14 and had a .482 on base percentage and a fielding percentage of .786.
