Bulldogs fall twice to Itawamba, 8-6 and 8-2

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell twice here Tuesday to the Itawamba Community College Indians, 8-6 and 8-2.

With the losses, the Bulldogs fell to 20-22 overall and 11-15 in the MACJC. The Bulldogs face Pearl River at noon on Saturday. The Bulldogs will have to win both games and have help from other teams to make the postseason.

In game one, Cody Greer got the start and went 2 1/3 innings. He gave up five runs on five hits with no strikeouts and two walks. Peyton Sullivan went five innings and suffered the loss. He gave up three runs on four hits with six strikeouts. Chase Allen gave up no runs on no hits with one walk and two strikeouts. Jaylan Baker led the Bulldogs with three hits with a triple while Geoffery King and Corbin Jamison had two hits including a double.

In game two, Sloan Dieter suffered the loss. He went 3 1/3 innings and gave up three runs on four hits with four walks and one strikeout. Chase Allen went 2 2/3 innings and gave up five runs on four hits with two strikeouts while Ryan Sticker went one inning and gave up two hits.
