Five Holmes Community College players have received honors for their work on the field and in the classroom.
Brodie Threet, sophomore catcher/pitcher, received the team's Most Valuable Player award. Threet along with Zach Boone, Nick Lawrence, Nick McCrory and Peyton Sullivan were named Scholar Athletes for the Fall Semester.
Threet finished the season with a .410 batting average including 50 hits including six doubles, one triple and six homeruns with 26 RBI and 35 runs scored. He also finished with a 2.16 ERA from the mound with a 1-0 record. He pitched 8 1/3 innings and gave up five runs on eight hits with four strikeouts.
