Bulldogs split with Indians, 5-3 and 10-3

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Wednesday with the Itawamba Community College Indians, losing 5-3 and winning 10-3.

With the split, the Bulldogs went to 15-5 and 1-3 in the MACJC. The Bulldogs travel to East Central on Saturday at 2/5 p.m. before returning home versus Northwest on Tuesday at 3/6 p.m.

In game one, Brandon Renfrow got the start and went seven innings giving up four runs on eight hits with one strikeouts and three walks. Dane Bevell suffered the loss in 2/3 of an inning giving up one run and two hits with one walk while Alex Burt went 1 1/3 innings and had one strikeout. Sage Mullins, J.D. Roberts, Anthony Fidanza and Michael Brown each had two hits.

In game two, Jeff Crenshaw picked up the win going seven innings. He gave up three runs on four hits with 10 strikeouts and two walks. Matt Warren led the Bulldogs with three hits while Roberts and Cole Johnson each had two hits with Johnson adding a homerun.
