Bulldogs split two games with Lions

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Wednesday with the East Mississippi Community College Lions losing 12-0 and winning 10-3.

With the split, the Bulldogs went to 16-12 overall and 2-10 in the MACJC. Holmes hosts Hinds Saturday at 2 p.m.

In game one, Kameron Ferguson suffered the loss. He went 1 2/3 innings and gave up seven runs on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks. Morgan Jarabica went one inning and gave up five runs on five hits with one walk while Dane Bevell went 2 1/3 innings and gave up one hit with one strikeout and one walk. The Bulldogs only had two hits in the game.

In game two, Jeff Crenshaw picked up the win. He went five innings and gave up two runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and one walk. Alex Burt, Steven Lacey and R.J. Pierce also pitched in the game. Burt went 1 1/3 innings and gave up one run on two hits with one strikeout and one walk while Lacey went 2/3 of an inning and had two strikeouts while Pierce had one walk. Sage Mullins led the Bulldogs with three hits including a triple while Colby Ellingburg, Kendrick LeJeune and J.D. Roberts each had two hits with Ellingburg adding a triple.
