Cheerleaders help meet/greet guests at Sports Hall of Fame

The Holmes Community College Cheerleading Squad recently assisted with the college’s annual Sports Hall of Fame Banquet, that honored the 2013 inductees. The Cheerleaders served as greeters at the President’s reception, tour guides around campus, and served the banquet meal.

Cheerleaders do their part with Breast Cancer Awareness

The Holmes Community College Cheerleading Squad and Bully mascots joined the efforts of the Bulldog Basketball Teams to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Research. The squad along with other athletics teams raised money by hosting a “Womanless Beauty Pageant,” selling pink t-shirts and through donations. Picture is the squad on the Feb. 7 Basketball game where campus “PINK OUT the BRANCH.” Also pictured is Bully with the winner of the Womanless, Grey Tedford, a sophomore tennis team member.

Cheerleaders win the 2013 Relay Rally for the American Cancer Society

The Holmes Community College Cheerleaders participated in the Annual PTK Relay Rally on the Goodman Campus. The squad won the overall trophy which was determined by the “relay races” the team won, tent decorations, and money raised. This squad raised $200 for the American Cancer Society to add to the campus total of $1500.

Seven cheerleaders named to Phi Theta Kappa
Congratulations to seven cheerleaders for recently being inducted into Phi Theta Kappa. Pictured are Jessica Parker, Kimberly Ables, Kaitlyn Howell, Shelby Soyars, Alan Campbell, Austin Purvis, and Clint McNeil. Phi Theta Kappa is the honor society for the two year community colleges in the U.S. and the world.
The Bulldog Cheerleaders had a 3.12 semester GPA for the Fall, a 3.06 semester GPA for the Spring, and a 3.08 Overall GPA to end the year.
