Bulldogs to have Armed Forces Appreciation Game on Oct. 25

GOODMAN --- Head Football Coach Jeff Koonz recently announced the Oct. 25 football game with Coahoma Community College will be an Armed Forces Appreciation Game with the Bulldogs being decked out in camouflage uniforms and any proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

All military personnel, both veterans and active, will be admitted to the game free of charge with a military ID. Plans are being made for a flyover prior to kickoff with a color guard presenting the colors and the presentation of a large United States Flag during the national anthem. Members of each branch of service will be recognized at halftime and a check will be presented to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Bulldog football players will be offered first shot at their jerseys, and the remaining uniforms will be sold for $100 each to the general public. If you are interested in purchasing a jersey, you may mail a check to Head Football Coach Jeff Koonz, Attn: Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 369, Goodman, MS  39079. Please include on the check your top five choices of jersey numbers. Student Government Associations at Goodman, Ridgeland and Grenada are also planning fundraising events for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Help spread the word to make this a special event for all military personnel, both active and veterans.
