Thompson named MACJC/JucoWeekly Defensive Player of the Week for Week Four
Holmes Community College sophomore safety Dahendrick Thompson has been named the MACJC/JucoWeekly Defensive Player of the Week for Week Four.
Thompson gave the Holmes Community College Bulldogs the 7-6 lead over the Itawamba Community College Indians in the fourth quarter when he picked up a fumble and raced 34 yards for the touchdown. He also picked up two interceptions for 16 yards and had five solo and seven total total tackles in the victory. He made a key tackle on Indian receiver Sanford Seay to thwart an apparent touchdown in the fourth quarter.
On the season, Thompson has 11 solos, five assist and three interceptions on the season.
