Twelve coaches from area high school, colleges and universities will be leading discussions in the Holmes Community College Football Bulldog Coaching Clinic on Friday and Saturday, March 20-21 in the D.P. "McGowan" Workforce Training Center on the Ridgeland Campus of Holmes Community College.
The clinic is free of charge and will provide information on successful offensive and defensive schemes used throughout Mississippi.
On Friday night, registration will begin at 5 p.m. with the clinic beginning at 6 p.m. Holmes Community College Offensive Coordinator Tim Stowers and Defensive Coordinator Chris Woods will have the 6-7 p.m. slot discussing the Bulldog offense and defense then at 7 p.m. the Bulldog coaching staff consisting of Head Coach Jeff Koonz, Stowers, Woods, Raymond Gross, Matt Wannebo and Chris Shelling will have breakout sessions on offensive line, quarterback/B backs, A backs/wide receivers; defensive line, linebackers and defensive backs.
On Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m., Starkville High School Head Coach Jamie Mitchell will discuss the Starkville offense while Ridgeland High School Head Coach Kenny Burton will talk about the Ridgeland defense. At 10 a.m., Belhaven Head Coach Hal Mumme will discuss his Belhaven offense while Germantown High School Head Coach Tim Schramek will discuss the Germantown defense.
The final session on 11 a.m. will feature Madison Central Head Coach Brad Peterson talking about the Madison Central offense while South Panola High School Head Coach Lance Pogue will discuss the South Panola defense.
