GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs picked up a 34-14 non-division win over the Pearl River Community College Wildcats and amassed 561 yards of offense and only gave the Wildcats less than 20 minutes of offense.

Pearl River took a lead in the second quarter on a 57-yard touchdown pass. The extra point with 12:25 left in the first half, and the Wildcats led 7-6.
The Bulldogs retook the lead with 7:48 to play in the first half when Dejerric Bryant connected with D.J. Montgomery from 60 yards out. Robles' extra point was good, and the Bulldogs took the lead for good at 13-7.
Holmes added another score in the second quarter when Tevin Wooten scored from a yard out. Robles extra point make it 20-7 at halftime.
The Bulldogs increased the lead to 27-7 with 2:05 left in the third when Treviante McDaniel scored from a yard out. Robles' extra point was good.
Bryant called his own number with 7:45 left in the game when he scored from six yards out. Robles' extra point was good, and Holmes led 34-7.
The Wildcats scored with no time on the scoreboard on a two-yard touchdown pass. The extra point ended all scoring at 34-14.
Carter led in rushing with four carries for 83 yards while Bryant had 13 carries for 77 yards, McDaniel 60 yards on 13 carries and Dre' Massey had 46 yards on six carries. Bryant was 8-of-11 for 171 yards and a touchdown. Montgomery had three catches for 120 yards and a touchdown.
The Bulldog defense gave up 222 yards on 45 plays. Jamar Smith led the Bulldogs with seven tackles and one sack. Willie Cooper had five tackles with 1.5 TFLs. Josiah Coatney had four tackles, two sacks and 2.5 TFLs.
