Holmes Bulldogs get 13-point win over Hinds Bulldogs

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs went to 11-5 overall here Thursday night after defeated the Hinds Community College Bulldogs 74-61 in a non-division matchup.

The Bulldogs will finish out the first half of the North Division schedule on Monday night against Itawamba Community College. Gametime is 8 p.m. and can be watched online at holmesathleitcs.ihigh.com.

Holmes held a seven-point lead with 6:29 left in the first half of play and increased the lead to 12 at halftime, 39-27. The Hinds Bulldogs roared back in the second and go to within four at 45-41 with 12:42 to play in the game before Holmes extended the lead back to 14 with 7:34 to play.

The lead was 14  at 72-58 with 1:55 left to play in the game before making the final margin 13 points.

Kaleb Knight and Demarcus Lewis each had 13 points for the Bulldogs while Torrance Rowe had 12 and Deangelo Priar had 10. Lewis led with 11 rebounds while Daveon Slaughter had 10.
