Bulldogs break away from halftime tie to rout the Indians, 76-52

GOODMAN --- What was a nip and tuck game at halftime turned out to be a huge 76-52 win for the Holmes Community College Bulldogs here Monday night over the Indians of Itawamba Community College in the last North Division game of the first half of the division schedule.

Itawamba jumped out to seven point lead early in the game, but the Bulldogs battled back to tie the game just before halftime. Holmes then pulled away in the second half. With the win, the Bulldogs went to 12-5 and 4-2 in the North Division.

Deangelo Priar led the Bulldogs with 16 points while DeAndre Scott had 15 and Demarcus Lewis had 12. Emmanuel Dias led the Bulldogs with seven rebounds while Priar added five.

The Bulldogs travel to Scooba on Thursday to play East Mississippi at 7:30 p.m. The game can be watched live at holmesathletics.ihigh.com.
