71 attend the Jason Flanigan Basketball Camp

Seventy-one young people from the Goodman and surrounding areas took part in the Jason Flanigan Basketball Camp last week at Holmes Community College in Goodman.

At the end of the week, Coach Flanigan presented each age group with the following awards: MVP, Best Defensive, Hustle, Sportsmanship, Best Offensive, Best Rebounder, Hot Shot, Best Free Throw and Slam Dunk (older group).

In the NBA division the following awards were given: RoTavious Thurmond, MVP and Slam Dunk; Chadarin Pilgrim, Best Defensive; David Holmes, Hustle; Lane Boyette, Sportsmanship; Damarius Rockett, Best Offensive; Jasmine Gibson, Best Rebounder; Christopher Young, Hot Shot; and Malik French, Free Throw.

In the Big East division the following awards were given: Destiny Haymer, MVP and Hot Shot; Jartavia Greer, Best Defensive; Tniniyah Jones, Hustle; Paul Wood, Sportsmanship; Markley Gladney, Best Offensive;  Winford Ross, Best Rebounder; and Robert Anderson, Free Throw.

In the SEC division, the following awards were given: Tyrikis Greer, MVP; Preston Newton, Best Defensive; Carleigh Andrews, Hustle; Thomas Sims, Sportsmanship; Ethan Wood, Best Offensive; Kelsea Haymer, Best Rebounder; Charles Ferguson, Hot Shot; and Tykerria Leavy, Free Throw.
