GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs started the 2012-13 North Division campaign with a heartbreaking 64-58 loss to the Lions of East Mississippi here Thursday night.
With the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 5-4 overall. Holmes travels to Mississippi Delta on Monday night at 8 p.m.
Holmes led 31-28 at halftime, but East Mississippi outscored the Bulldogs in the second half 36-27 to pull out the win. East Mississippi held a 13--point lead during the game.
Demarcus Lewis led the Lady Bulldogs with 24 points while Kentric Gillum had 14 and DeAndre Scott had 11. Lewis added seven rebounds and Tamarico Wilson had five assists.
