Lewis named MACJC, NJCAA Player of the Week for Nov. 26- Dec. 2

GOODMAN — Holmes Community College sophomore forward Demarcus Lewis was named the MACJC Player of the Week for his two-game performance during the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2. He went on to claim the NJCAA Player of the Week honor as well.

Lewis put his exceptional offensive play on display in back-to-back games last week for the Bulldogs. The sophomore put up a game-high 31 points on 12-of-17 shooting from the field against Southwest Mississippi CC. Lewis added 10 rebounds for a double-double in Holmes' 78-70 victory. Despite falling 64-58 to East Mississippi CC, Lewis hit 8-of-12 field goal attempts for a game-high 24 points and pulled down seven boards.
