North Division second half begins tomorrow night at Northwest

GOODMAN --- At the halfway point of the North Division contests, the Holmes Community College Bulldogs sit in first place at 5-1 along with East Mississippi.

Holmes, 12-5 overall, defeated East Mississippi in an earlier contest, 90-80 but fell to Northeast in the last division contest of the first round of games on Monday night in Booneville, 55-54. In the other division contests, Holmes defeated Northwest 90-66 in Goodman; Coahoma, 84-68, in Clarksdale; and Itawamba, 81-78, in Fulton.

The second half begins Thursday night in Senatobia as the Bulldogs play the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers at 7 p.m.  Holmes hosts Coahoma on Monday, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m. and Itawamba on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. before traveling to Mississippi Delta on Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. and East Mississippi on Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs finish the regular season on Thursday, Feb. 19 at home versus Northeast at 8 p.m.

The MACJC State Tournament will be held at the South Division Women's champion. Copiah-Lincoln has yet to lose a game this season and stand at 6-0 in the South Division.
