Bulldogs get 84-60 win over the Rangers

GOODMAN --- The No. 20 ranked Holmes Community College Bulldogs got back on the winning track with an 84-60 win over the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers.

With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 12-2 overall and 3-1 in the North Division. Holmes will return to action on Thursday night at 8 p.m. vs. Coahoma. You can watch live at holmesccmedia.com. Monday night's game vs. Delgado has been postponed to a later date.

The Bulldogs led 41-28 at halftime and as much as 25 in the second half with 2:10 left to play in the game. Holmes outscored Northwest 43-32 in the second half to secure the win.

Mikkel Norment led the Bulldogs with 17 points while Kassim Nicholson had 13, Stanley Williams had 11 and Javon Franklin had 10. Franklin and Nicholson each finished with eight rebounds.

The Bulldogs shot 57.6 percent from the floor, 42.9 percent from the three-point line and 62.5 percent from the free-throw line.
