Bulldogs defeat the Coahoma Tigers, 73-49

CLARKSDALE --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 19-3 overall and 9-2 in the North Division here Monday night with a 73-49 win over Coahoma Community College.

Holmes will host East Mississippi in the final regular season game on Thursday night at 8 p.m. The Bulldogs have secured a spot in next week's MACJC State Tournament at Northwest. Game time and opponent have not been announced yet.

Holmes led 31-26 at halftime and then outscored the Tigers, 42-23, in the second half to pull out the big division win.

Javon Franklin led the Bulldogs with 13 points while Trevais Spencer had 11 and Kortez Wade had 10. Franklin finished with seven rebounds.

The Bulldogs shot 48.1 percent from the floor (26-of-54).
