GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs will face the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the opening round of the Region XXIII Tournament at Mississippi College in Clinton.
Holmes is 21-4 while Co-Lin is 19-5. Holmes defeated Gulf Coast in the opening round of the MACJC State Tournament before falling in overtime to Pearl River in the semi-finals. Holmes is led in scoring by sophomore guard Trevais Spencer, who is averaging 13.8 points per game. Sophomore guard Mikkel Norment is averaging 10.5 points per game and freshman forward Javon Franklin is averaging 10.4 points per game. As a team, the Bulldogs are averaging 79.6 points per game and are shooting 48.3 percent from the floor, 33.3 percent from three-point range and 66.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Co-Lin is led by sophomore guard Jonathan Floyd, who is averaging 17.2 points per game. Sophomore forward Youry White is averaging 13.3 points per game while freshman guard Damarius Brooks is averaging 10.4 points per game and sophomore guard Anthony Jones is averaging 10.3 points per game. As a team, Co-Lin is averaging 81.8 points per game and are shooting 45.1 percent from the floor, 38.2 percent from the three-point line and 69.6 percent from the free-throw line.
Co-Lin is giving up 72.16 points per game.
