GOODMAN – Three Holmes Community College sophomores --- Javon Franklin, Kassim Nicholson and Winford Ross --- will participate in this year's Mullen's JC Top 100 Camp, a premier invitation-only showcase of some of the nations' top junior college basketball prospects.
The annual event will be held July 20-22 in Wichita, Kan., at the brand new, state-of-the-art Wichita Hoops facility, which features 12 basketball courts under one roof. This event will feature 100 of the best AAU teams from around the country and nearly 100 of the best Junior College players in the country will also be competing.
Franklin, a forward from Little Rock, Ark., averaged 10.8 points per game last season and 8.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. He shot 63.2 percent from the floor (122-of-193) and 60.9 percent from the free-throw line (67-of-110).
Nicholson, a guard/forward from Jackson, averaged 9.4 points per game last season with 5.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and one steal per game. He shot 48.9 percent from the floor (108-of-221).
Ross, a forward from Madison, averaged 5.3 points per game with 3.1 rebounds and one block per game. He shot 51.6 percent from the floor (49-of-95) and 70.4 percent from the free-throw line (57-of-81).
