Herrington finishes tied for 14th and heads to Region XXIII Tournament

AMORY ---- Holmes Commmunity College freshman golfer Ben Herrington finished tied for 14th in the MACJC State Tournament here Monday which is good enough to get him into the Region XXIII Tournament Sunday and Monday, April 22-23 at Big Oaks in Tupelo.

Tuesday's second round was rained out so Herrington's 78 was doubled to get his final score of 156 (+12) for the tournament. The Bulldogs finished with a 660 (+84) for the tournament.

Other scores were Justin Rennhack (162, +18); Austin Thompson (168, +24); Ryan Chedotal (174, +30); and John Jolly (194, +50).

Herrington will be the lone participant for the Bulldogs in the Region XXIII Tourmament.
