North women, South men win All-Star games

RIDGELAND --- The North Division women defeated the South Division women 2-1 and the South Division men defeated the North Division men 5-3 here Saturday in the third annual MACJC All-Star Soccer Games at Holmes Community College.

In the women's match, Abigail Morales of Northwest and Cara Harrison of Hinds each had a goal in the match for the North Division while Sarah Fortenberry of Pearl River had the only goal for the South.

In the men's match,  Jacob Johnson of East Central had one goal while Juan Flores of Holmes had two goals for the North while Jordan Parron, Gio Freitas and Juan Salazar of Gulf Coast each had a goal and Chance Bourdene of Pearl River had two goals for the South.

Madison Parham of Itawamba was named the North Division MVP on the women's side along with Lyndsey Lee of Pearl River. On the men's side, Juan Flores of Holmes was named the North Division MVP along with Chance Bourdene of Pearl River. 

Along with Flores, Hunter Barras and Alexis Alonso-Gaytan suited up for the North while Geovanni Garcia and Jaylon George played for the South Division. For the North women, Holmes was represented by Logan Yeatman, Byankuh Shelby and Dominique Butler.
