Bulldogs pick up 4-2 non-division win over Meridian

RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs reeled off four straight goals in the final 70 minutes to defeat the Meridian Community College Eagles, 4-2, on the field at the Ridgeland Campus. Rolando Sanchez picked up his second hat trick in the game.

With the win, the Bulldogs went to 2-4 on the season. The Bulldogs play Jones County Junior College at 7 p.m. on Sept. 27.

Meridian scored goals in the 10th minute and 22nd minute to go up 2-0. Rolando Sanchez picked up a goal for the Bulldogs in the 25th minute to make it 2-1. Meridian led 2-1 at halftime.

The Bulldogs tied the match at two in the 52nd minute when Jacob McNeely scored. Sanchez scored in the 64th minute and the 88th minute to complete the hat trick and give the Bulldogs the win.
