Lady Bulldogs lose opening games to Marion Military Institute, 6-4 and 3-2

MARION, Ala. --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldog softball team lost the season-opening doubleheader 6-4 and 3-2.

In game one, Kelsey Marter took the loss from the mound for the Lady Bulldogs. Kelsey Shaw and Kaitlyn Doles each had two hits for the Lady Bulldogs and a RBI. Shaw had two singles while Doles had a double and a single. Allison Ray had a RBI sacrifice while Marter had a RBI walk.

In game two, Ginny Mills took the loss for the Lady Bulldogs. Alecia McDaniel led the Lady Bulldogs with a double and a single with a RBI while Kaitlyn Hicks added two singles and Victoria Hunt had a RBI single.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday versus Copiah-Lincoln in Wesson. Game time is 2 p.m. for the doubleheader.
