Lady Bulldogs fall in doubleheader to Marion Military, 6-1 and 7-3
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs fell here Saturday in the season-opening doubleheader to 6-1 and 7-3.
The Lady Bulldogs are set to host the Hinds Community College Lady Eagles on Wednesday, Feb. 6 , in a doubleheader. The first game begins at 3 p.m.
In game one, Charneissa Gordon led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits while Katie Johnston and Kaitlyn Hicks each had one. Kelsey Marter suffered the loss in game one pitching five innings striking out one.
In game two, Michelle Gregory led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits while Hicks and Samantha Meadows each had one hit. Meadows' hit was a three-run homerun while Gregory added a double. Kelsey Rogers suffered the loss going four innings striking out one.
