GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs pounded out 33 runs on 22 hits in two games over the Coahoma Community College Lady Tigers winning 16-1 in four innings and 17-0 in three innings here Monday.
With the wins, the Lady Bulldogs moved to 10-8 overall and 3-5 in the North Division. Holmes travels to Northeast today at 2/4 p.m. in division contests. The games can be watched at nemcctv.com.
In game one, Kassey Ard picked up the win. She went two innings and gave up one hit and struck out three. Blair Little went one inning striking out three while Brett Whitlock went one inning and gave up one run on one hit and struck out one. Little led with three hits including a double while Kelsey Kelly had two hits including a triple. Hayden Grantham added a three-run homerun while Rachel Bond and A'Breana Yarbrough each had a double.
In game two, Whitlock picked up the win in two innings of work. She gave up two hits and struck out two. Little pitched one inning and struck out one. Kelly, Garza and Grantham each had two hits with Grantham having two doubles, Garza having a double and Kelly adding a triple. Shelby Hoover added a double.
