Lady Bulldogs split two games with the Lady Bears, falling 6-4 and winning 3-2

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two MACJC Conference games here Friday versus the Southwest Mississippi Community College Lady Bears.

Southwest took the first game, 6-4, and the Lady Bulldogs won the second game, 3-2. Holmes went to 6-8-1 on the season and 1-3 in the conference.

Kassey Ard suffered the loss in the first game. Ard went five innings and gave up five runs on six hits with seven strikeouts and three walks. Karley Poindexter went the final two innings and gave up one run on two hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Blair Little and Darrien Dykes each had homeruns in the first game while Reagan Aldridge and Anna Garza added doubles.

Little picked up the win the in game two. Little went seven innings and gave up two runs on nine hits with eight strikeouts. Torey Daniels and Kaleia Lillis each had two hits with Daniels adding a double.

Holmes returns to action on March eight at East Mississippi at 3/5 p.m. and then hosts East Central on March 11 at 1/3 p.m.
