Lady Bulldogs split two games with Meridian

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games here with the Meridian Community College Lady Eagles. Holmes won game one, 3-2, and Meridian won game two, 3-2.

With the split, the Lady Bulldogs went to 13-17-1 overall and 8-12 in the MACJC. Holmes is at Jones on April 5 in a 3/5 p.m. doubleheader and at Hinds on April 8 for a 2/4 p.m. doubleheader. The final home series is on April 9 versus Baton Rouge at 1/3 p.m.

In game one, Kassey Ard got the start and went five innings giving up one run on two hits with six strikeouts and two walks and picked up the win. Blair Little went two innings and gave up one run on one hit with four strikeouts and picked up the save. Micah Redd led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits.

In game two, Little started the game and went five innings and gave up two runs on two hits with four strikeouts. Ard went two innings and gave up one run on two hits with one walk and suffered the loss. Torey Daniels and Abby Stafford each had two hits.
