Lady Bulldogs fall to Bossier, 6-1 and defeat Delta, 15-0

RAYMOND --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games at Hinds Community College on Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs fell to Bossier, La., 6-1, in game one, and won game two vs. Mississippi Delta, 15-0, in five innings.

With the win, the Lady Bulldogs went to 3-4 on the season. Holmes travels to Meridian this weekend and will play five games on Friday and Saturday. Holmes plays Faulkner State at 1 p.m., Northwest Florida State at 3 p.m. and Spoon River at 5 p.m. on Friday and will play Shelton State at 3 p.m. and Baton Rouge at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

In game one Saturday, Madison Frazier suffered the loss. She went five innings and gave up six runs on nine hits with four strikeouts and one walk in five innings. Kaitlyn Warren went two innings and gave up no runs on one hit. Micah Redd led with two hits while Jasmine Cox and Emily Littlejohn each doubled.

In game two, Karley Poindexter picked up the win. She went five innings and gave up four hits with one strikeout. Regan Huckaby led with three hits. Redd, Torey Daniels, Meghan Cumming, Bayle Bryant, and Kayla Gilmore each had two hits with Cumming adding a homerun and Daniels adding a double.
