MOORHEAD --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs went to 1-1 in the North Division here Monday night with a 59-52 loss to the Mississippi Delta Community College Lady Trojans.
With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs went to 4-6 overall. Holmes hosts Hinds in non-division game on Thursday at 6 p.m.
The Lady Bulldogs jumped 6-0 before the Lady Trojans started battling back. Delta tied the game later at 12 and took a lead with 7:54 left in the first half. Delta led by as much as eight in the first half and led 25-22 at halftime.
Holmes tied the game at 25 early in the second half on a three-pointer from Denesha Dillard. Holmes led by four at 31-27 with 15:07 to play on two free throws from Dasha Adams. Delta tied the game at 31 with 13:13 to play in the game and led by as much as 10 points in the second half to pull out the win.
Krystal Baker led the Lady Bulldogs with 14 points. Jessica Miles had 12 rebounds in the game.
