Lady Bulldogs hold a .500 division record going into the Christmas Break

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs have an impressive 8-2 overall record going into the Christmas break and a 1-1 record in the North Division.

The Lady Bulldogs will return to play on Jan. 6 in Utica against Hinds Community College and then will return in a home game versus Southwest Mississippi Community College on Jan. 8.

Holmes is averaging 72.4 points per game overall and 75 points per game in North Division play. The Lady Bulldog opponents are averaging 50 points per game and 61 points per game in North Division play.

Freshman guard Aja Williams leads the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 16.2 points per game and 22 points per game in North Division play. She has 46 rebounds and 12 assists thus far on the season.

Sophomore point guard Carmesha Nalls is averaging 13 points per game and 10.5 in North Division play. She's shooting 36.2 percent from behind the three-point line and has 23 assists.

Freshman guard Minyone Hill is averaging 9.7 points per game but is averaging 11.5 in North Division play. She leads the team in assists with 44.

Sophomore forward Taylor Johnson leads the team in rebounds with 74 while sophomore guard Tayanna Purnell has 63 rebounds. LaShonda Wilson has 51 rebounds and leads the team in blocks with 15.
