Lady Bulldogs keep tournament hopes alive with 67-61 win over Delta

MOORHEAD --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs went to 15-6 overall and 6-4 in the North Division with a win here Thursday night over the Mississippi Delta Lady Trojans, 67-61 keeping their postseason hopes alive.

Holmes travels to East Mississippi on Monday night at 5:30 p.m. The game can be heard live at 101.1 FM, breezynews.com or by adding the Breezy News app. Holmes plays Northeast at home Thursday to round out the regular season schedule.

The Lady Bulldogs led Delta, 33-32, at halftime after Carmesha Nalls hit a three-pointer from the left corner as the horn sounded. Holmes then outscored Delta, 34-29, in the second half to pull out the win.

Aja Williams led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points while Nalls and Minyone Hill each had 11. Tiffany Jones and LaShonda Wilson each grabbed 13 rebounds while Hill had 11.
