GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs finished up the regular season strong and will go into the MACJC State Tournament as the North's No. 4 seed.
Holmes, who finished 10-12 overall and 6-6 in the North Division, will face the South Division's No. 1 team and No. 16 ranked Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats, who finished 21-1 overall and 14-1 in the South Division, at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Jones County Junior College. Holmes is led by freshman guard Kamelia Lacy, who is averaging 10.6 points per game. Freshman guard Vaquela Pimpton is averaging 10.1 points per game. As a team, the Lady Bobcats are averaging 79.6 points per game and are shooting 44.6 percent from the floor, 33.3 percent from the three-point line and 67.6 percent from the free-throw line.
