South Division takes Saturday's MACJC All-Star Game, 5-0

RIDGELAND  --- The South Division won Saturday's MACJC All-Star Game at Freedom Ridge Park, 5-0.

Jones County Junior College's Mary Kate Smith was named Most Valuable Player from the South Division while East Central Community College's Kaitlyn Knuth was named Most Valuable Player from the North.

Jones' Kelly Stubbington put the South Division up 1-0 early in the match. Jones' Mary Kate Smith added two goals in the first half to put the South Division up 3-0 at halftime. Stubbington added another goal in the second half before Meridian's Gabrielle Joyce added a goal late to end all scoring at five.

North Women All-Stars include: Emily Murray, Sammi Abrams, Rachel Hartley and Mary Katherine Campbell, Holmes; Alyssa Stanford, Itawamba; Piper Wallace, East Central; Sierra Lasher, Northwest; Lauren Smith, Hinds; Hope Burton, Itawamba; Gabby Gross, East Central; Caroline Mueller, Itawamba; Kaylan Johnson, Hinds; Kimbre Watros, Northwest; Ashlee Maddox, Hinds; Kaitlyn Knuth, East Central; Ta'Nissa McNair, East Central; and Kenzie Jenkins, East Central.

The coach of the North Women is Levi Nunnally of Northwest.

South Women All-Stars include: Brittney Snyder, Jones; Effie Morrison, Meridian; Kassady Walters, Gulf Coast; Ravan London, Copiah-Lincoln; Brinkley Gallant, Southwest; Taylor Laurent, Southwest; Alycia Schwartz, Pearl River; Madi Giese, Gulf Coast; Gabrielle Joyce, Meridian; Kira Morrell, Pearl River; Kelsey Taylor, Pearl River; Lauren Sanders, Gulf Coast; Mallori Rodrigue, Jones; Mary Kate Smith, Jones; Kelly Stubbington, Jones; Ashley Seelal, Copiah-Lincoln; and Kylee Burke, Meridian.

The coach of the South Women is Bee Casey of Southwest. Casey was assist by Gulf Coast's Jackie Rhodes.
