Bulldog soccer teams help with Ridgeland's annual Easter Egg Hunt

RIDGELAND --- Members of the Holmes Community College Bulldog and Lady Bulldog soccer teams helped the City of Ridgeland last weekend with its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Freedom Ridge Park.

The annual egg hunt was held on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15. Team members assisted in hiding the eggs on the softball fields and then helped the children gather over 5,000 eggs.

"We were delighted to have our men's and women's soccer programs volunteer at the City of Ridgeland's Easter Egg Hunt," Head Coach Matt Convertino said. "Our players had a great time interacting with the children and being a part of something greater than themselves. It was a great community service project and we hope we can make it a tradition in the future for our teams."

The event is sponsored by the City of Ridgeland Parks and Recreation Department.
