Fairley, Lindsay named Holmes CC's Players of the Week

GOODMAN --- Holmes Community College sophomore forward Bailee Fairley on the women's soccer team and sophomore kicker Dan Lindsay on the football team have been named Holmes Community College Players of the Week following their play last week.

Fairley, a West Lauderdale product from Collinsville, scored a goal and had an assist in Holmes' 3-0 win over Copiah-Lincoln on Tuesday. The Lady Bulldogs will host Gulf Coast on Tuesday on Sophomore Day at 1 p.m. They will play at Meridian on Friday at 5 p.m.

Lindsay, a Central Holmes product from Kosciusko, hit the game winning field goal from 32 yards out on Thursday night at Itawamba to give Holmes the 27-24 win to remain undefeated. He added another field goal from 29 yards out and made three extra points. Holmes travels to Northwest on Thursday at 7 p.m.
