Sims, McCarty named Holmes CC's Players of the Week

GOODMAN --- Holmes freshman midfielder Tyler Grace Sims on the women's soccer team and Cole McCarty on the football team have been named Holmes CC's Player of the Week for her play last week.

Sims, a Northwest Rankin product from Brandon, scored two goals last week in Holmes' two wins over Southwest and Jones.

McCarty, a Moody product from Birmingham, Ala., finished Thursday's 47-0 win over Delta 20-of-32 for 244 yards and two touchdowns. He also had seven rushes for 41 yards.
