Bulldogs take two from Delta, 10-0 and 7-2

MOORHEAD --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs picked up two MACCC wins here Wednesday winning 10-0 and 7-2 over Mississippi Delta.

Holmes will host Meridian on Saturday at 2/5 p.m.

Landon Hoshell got the start in game one and picked up the win. He went six innings and gave up five hits with four strikeouts and three walks. Drew Daigle pitched the final inning. Ethan Trimble, Jaxon Cripps and J.R. North each had two hits with Trimble adding a double and a homerun and Cripps adding a homerun. Chase Peeples and Wes Bishop also doubled in the game.

In game two, Warner Young got the start and picked up the win. He went five innings and gave up two runs on six hits with three strikeouts and three walks. Lane Robertson went the final two with three strikeouts and two walks. Trimble led with three hits while Charley Dunn and A.J. Arguello each had two. North had a double.

Against East Central on April 3, the Bulldogs fell 17-4 and 12-1.

Lane Robertson took the loss in game one. Warner Young, Landon Hoshell, Tyler Bickett and Drew Daigle pitched in the game. Wes Bishop had a grand slam in the game.

In game two, Mac Griffin got the start and took the loss. Hoshell pitched in the game. Cripps led with a double.

Against Jones on March 28, the Bulldogs fell to Jones 9-4 and 11-1. Bickett got the start and suffered the loss. Hoshell pitched in game two. Jack Harkins led with two hits. Dunn added a double.

In game two, Braxton Demopulos got the start and took the loss. Lane Robertson also pitched in the game. Bishop had a homerun.
