Bulldogs split with Rangers Tuesday
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Tuesday with the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers, falling 17-6 and winning 6-4.
Holmes will play at Pearl River on Saturday at 2/5 p.m.
In game one, Landon Hoshell got the start and suffered the loss. Braxton Demopulos, Drew Daigle and Britt Stringer also pitched in the game. A.J. Arguello led with two hits. Charley Dunn had a 3-run homerun while Ethan Walker had a solo homerun.
In game two, Warner Young got the start and picked up the win. He went all seven innings and had three strikeouts and four walks. Jack Harkins, Wes Bishop and Dunn each had two hits with Harkins adding a solo homerun and Dunn and Bishop each having a double.
