Bulldogs recognize sophomores on Saturday in Co-Lin DH
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell twice to the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves here Saturday, 10-0 and 14-8, on Sophomore Day in Goodman.
Eleven Bulldog sophomores were recognized in between the games including: Sam Roy, outfielder, Oxford; Eli Lowe, pitcher, Purvis; Cooper Bennett, outfielder, Hernando; Ethan Trimble, pitcher/infielder, Brandon; Braxton Demopulos, pitcher, Denham Springs, La.; Vince Glorioso, pitcher, Brandon; Lane Robertson, pitcher, Columbia; Wes Bishop, infielder, Ethel; Britt Stringer, pitcher, Petal; Omarion Eskridge, manager, Winona; Isaac White, manager, Pelahatchie.
In game one, Drew Daigle got the start and suffered the loss. Tyler Bickett also threw in the game. Ethan Trimble, J.R. North and Sam Roy each had a hit in the game.
In game two, Mac Griffin got the start and suffered the loss. Landon Hoshell and Trimble also pitched in the game. Jack Harkins and Trimble each had three hits with Trimble adding a double. Barrett Kuhn, Bishop and North each had two hits with Bishop adding a double. Jaxon Cripps also had a double in the game.
Against Itawamba on April 22, the Bulldogs fell 7-2 and 8-2.
In game one, Lane Robertson got the start and suffered the loss. Hoshell also pitched in the game. Chase Peeples led with two hits including a double. Cripps and Ethan Walker also doubled.
In game two, Warner Young got the start and suffered the loss. Braxton Demopulos also pitched in the game. North led with three hits while Cripps added a double.
Against Pearl River on April 18, the Bulldogs fell 10-0 and 6-1.
Tyler Bickett got the start in game one and suffered the loss. Daigle and Britt Stringer also pitched in the game. North led with two hits.
In game two, Griffin got the start and suffered the loss. Robertson also pitched in the game. Trimble led with two hits while Bishop added a double.
