Matt Spencer named MACJC/JucoWeekly Special Teams Player of the Week

GOODMAN --- Holmes Community College sophomore punter Matt Spencer of Brandon has been named the MACJC/JucoWeekly Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance against Itawamba last Thursday.

Spencer punted the ball seven times for 324 yards against the Indians for a 46.3 per punt average. He had a long of 53 yards with two punts downed inside the 20 yard line and one touchback.

On the season, Spencer ranks fifth in the NJCAA with a 41.1 per punt average. He has eight punts downed inside the 20. He leads the country in punt yardage with 1,273.
