Benson named North Division Offensive MVP

BOONEVILLE --- Holmes Community College sophomore quarterback Jamario Benson brought home some hardware here Thursday from the 2014 MACJC Football All-Star Game after being named the Hubert Tucker North Offensive MVP. The South won the game for the fourth straight time, 23-13.

Benson got the start at quarterback for the North squad and finished with one passing touchdown in the second quarter and also rushed for 41 yards on 17 carries.

Mitchell Cunningham, Antreon Bennett, David Hendershot and De'MonTerius Kendrick also participated in the game for the North squad. Cunningham had 63 yards on seven carries at running back while Bennett had five tackles and a sack while Kendrick had six tackles. Hendershot played center during the contest.

Holmes Head Coach Jeff Koonz served as Head Coach of the North squad.
