Bulldogs return three players from 2013-14 season
GOODMAN --- Holmes Community College's men's basketball team returns three players to a team that went 11-12 last season overall and 5-7 in the North Division.
Tamarico Wilson, a 6'2 guard from Tchula, leads all returners with a 10 points per game average to go along with four rebounds and five assists. Travis Johnson, a 6' forward from Durant, had nien points and six rebounds per game while Patrick Banks, a 6'5 forward from Jackson, had two points and two rebounds per game last season.
Freshmen newcomers include: DayShawn Watkins, a 6' guard from North Little Rock, Ark. averaged 20 points and five assists per game; Thomas Alexander, a 6'6 forward from North Little Rock, Ark. averaged 17 points, six rebounds and four assists per game; Justin McCleary, a 6'1 guard from Jacksonville, Ark. averaged 18 points, five rebounds and five assists per game; Jarvis Williams, a 5'5 guard from Jackson, averaged 12 points, one rebound and five assists per game; Ondarious Hamlin, a 6'6 forward from Canton, averaged 20 points, six rebounds and three assists per game; Iury Dixon, a 6' guard from Jackson, averaged 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists per game; Rodriques Palmer, a 6'5 guard from Flora, averaged eight points, six rebounds and one assist per game; Marcus Washington, a 6'2 guard from Clinton, averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds and three assists per game; Damarius Rockett, a 6'4 guard from Goodman, averaged 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists per game; Dontarrius Simmons, a 6'3 guard from Jackson, averaged five points, six rebounds and four assists per game; Lyndon Johnson, 6'5 center from West Point, averaged four points, six rebuonds and three assists per game; and Vercel Webster, a 6'5 forward from Lexington, averaged six points and six rebounds per game.
