Alexander three-pointer with three seconds to play lifts Bulldogs to 62-59 win over Trojans

GOODMAN --- Holmes Community College freshman forward Thomas Alexander hit a game-winning three-pointer here Monday night with three seconds to go to lift the Bulldogs over the Mississippi Delta Trojans, 62-59.

With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the North Division. The Delta game was the second North Division contest of the year, but the first game was not finished so the Bulldogs have no win/loss for that game.

Alexander, who finished the game with 13 points, caught a pass and took the shot from the right wing to lift the Bulldogs to the win. Delta attempted a shot at the buzzer from the other side of half court, but it failed.

Tamarico Wilson had 12 points for the Bulldogs. Patrick Banks led the Bulldogs with seven rebounds.
