Bulldogs are 7-2 heading into the Christmas Break
Heading into the Christmas Break the Holmes Community College Bulldog team has a record of 7-2 and a 1-0 record in the North Division.
Holmes defeated East Central twice, 68-65, in Decatur and 78-68, at home. Holmes defeated Copiah-Lincoln, 74-70, in Wesson; Meridan, 87-62, in Goodman; Hinds, 82-67, in Utica; Southwest, 84-73, in Goodman; and Mississippi Delta, 62-59, in Goodman. The Bulldogs lost to Baton Rouge, 69-60, in Goodman and Pearl River, 76-71, in Goodman.
Dayshawn Watkins is the leading scorer for the Bulldogs with 12.6 points per game while Tamarico Wilson has 12.1 points per game and Jarvis Williams has 10.9 points per game. Justin McCleary has 9.3 points per game. Leading three-point shooter is Williams with 51.6 percent and McCleary is 44.7 percent. Hamlin is the leading shooter overall with a 51.4 percent average while Banks is newt with 50 percent.
Patrick Banks leads the Bulldogs in rebounds with 8.1 rebounds per game while Wilson and Thomas Alexander have 3.7 rebounds per game. Ondarious Hamlin has 2.9 assists per game while Watkins has 1.7 steals per game and Wilson had 1.1 steals per game. Watkins leads in steals with 4 steals per game and Hamlin has 2.9, Williams 1.8 and Wilson 1.4 steals per game.
The Bulldogs return to action on Jan. 7 versus Hinds Community College in Goodman.
